Just 1/2 mile from the quaint village of Castletownshend, Keelahangil Cottages offer something different. Let the dawn chorus wake you up and then collect your own free range eggs from the hen house which complement the fresh vegetables you picked last night from the vegetable patch. Then retire to the luxury of your cottage and do as much, or as little as you want. Well behaved pets welcome.

Downstairs:

Entrance from courtyard into spacious open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. Cathedral style ceilings (5 metres high). Kitchen with stainless steel range, Belfast sink, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine/drier. Lounge with wood-burning stove, TV/DVD. French doors to patio with barbeque. Broadband available.Bedroom with twin beds. Bathroom with WC/shower.

Upstairs:

Fantastic, spacious double bedroom in the eaves of the cottage. Bathtub underneath skylight. En-suite WC/washbasin. Sofa bed for extra guests. Large picture window.
Outside:
Garden with lawns (very safe), chicken run, vegetable garden.

The unique hamlet of Castletownend is located in the centre of beautiful West Cork, one hours drive from Cork City. The village descending from breathtaking views of the islands of West Cork down to its own pier and pebble beach.

Facilities include a playground, pebble beaches, Castletownshend pier, three lively pubs, a local shop, churches, castles and gourmet restaurants all within the village.

Nearby is the busy market town of Skibbereen (7km), Clonakilty (15km), Baltimore (15km). The coastal villages of Union Hall, Glandore and Rosscarbery with their beaches, pubs and restaurants are 10 minutes drive away.

Ferry access to Sherkin and Cap Clear Islands is from Baltimore. Historical Stone Circles, Ring Forts are abundant in the area. The famous writers Somerville and Ross, whose book ‘The Irish R.M.' was adapted to a T.V. series, helped put Castletownsend on the map in the 19th & 20th Century.

Golf and Pitch and Putt are all available within a 10 minute drive. Gourmet restaurants are numerous in the area.
